OfficialA new F8 settings window and a tidier home
The F8 settings window now follows the in-game menu, and the home screen keeps its buttons and news in their own space. Available for Windows and Linux.
Improvements
- Browse the seven F8 tabs, open option pages with Back, and search across all settings. The selected option's help appears at the top.
- Use Left/Right to adjust values, Enter to select, and Esc to go back. The window also adapts to its minimum size of 680 × 500.
- F8 option names follow the game's names in all nine launcher languages, including English names that the game itself leaves untranslated.
- The F8 button now looks like a keyboard key in the upper-left corner. The donation button sits in the upper-right corner without covering Latest Updates.
- DOWNLOAD MOD explains its action or why it is unavailable. Latest Updates no longer repeats news items.
- On Windows, F8 element names and settings from external element packs remain editable when the configuration folder already exists.
- On Linux, a process that ends during the safety check no longer interrupts a Spira content update. A running game still blocks the update.
What's included
- Existing installations can receive this version through the launcher's automatic updates. Windows ZIP/MSI and the Linux portable package are also available in this release.
Known issues
- F8 settings are saved for the next game launch. Close FFX before saving; available features depend on the installed Hooks version.
- The per-monster AP/Gil editor keeps its existing appearance.
- The Windows application is not code-signed. Update feeds and packages use the launcher's signature and integrity checks.
