Yes! FFX Mod Studio does not delete or modify your saves. You can continue from where you left off.

Yes. The Launcher creates an automatic backup before installing. Just click 'Restore Original' inside the Launcher.

No. The mod is exclusive to the PC (Steam) version of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster.

The Launcher automatically checks on startup and notifies you if a new version is available.

No. Final Fantasy X does not have VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) and has no competitive multiplayer. The mod is safe to use.
